Well i know the feeling. I wasn't exactly the one who was being watched over though. AND I thank God so much for his protection on my family! I thank him so much. This person being watched over today... well... that was my Mom. Wow.. you never know how thankful you are for them until something happens.
This is a true story... No joke... no lie... nothing here is made up right now.
Well just to point this out, my mom is fine now but was... well [----] that close for a life threatening situation, although her kidneys and arm tissue were at risk.
While i was at a friends house at approximately 3:30 my mom was changing the soap dispenser soap under the sink and she got electrocuted, well maybe i should say shocked to make this a little less mind boggling. This happened because our plumber came over yesterday and was fixing something with our kitchen sink and obviously forgot to put the cover on the wires under the cabinet ( please don't come down on him, he is a great guy, just made a big mistake and no we are not going to sue him. ) and the wires were live so when my mom went to change the soap her hand pressed against the wires and 150 bolts went through her right arm to her shoulder ran a little through her face not much but now her smile is crooked for now, i think it will bounce back, but anyways.... it went out her shoulder. She was in such a tight space it took her a while to pull her hand out.
Luckily! before she went to change the soap she took her ring off, which could have put her in more trouble if she had that on..... and the second Luckily! she pulled her hand out just in time before it went through her chest and that could have died or had a major problem! So my dad drove her right away to a emergency care centre and they got her in immediately. Meanwhile i was still at Brianna's house and then my dad came to pick me up at 5:00 and brought me to see my mom.
She said she was in a bunch of pain in her arm and it went numb then came back and repeatedly did that again. They did a bunch of tests to make sure her arm tissue would brake in the inside and fall to her kidneys or something like that and put her kidneys at risk. If the test came out with something wrong she would have been sent to a hospital to do more tests. As they did this i was at my aunts house waiting for her and taking my mind off of worrying.
She came back at 10:00pm from the care centre after being there for almost 6-7 hours. And everything is fine but she is a little swollen in her veins and her arm hurts from moving a lot when coming to pick me up from my Aunt's and Uncle's and visiting for a while. I am home now though and i am just SOOOO GLAD! God, Jesus, and guardian Angels were watching over my mom. I came close to crying tears when she got back from the care centre. i did tear up though and some tears fell down, sadly i can't cry often. I will tell you though i was so sad and thankful that my mom is ok! and still am thankful. And to clear this up, yes my mom is alive and her arm is now fine and so are her kidneys but her arm just hurts still.
SO PLEASE! appreciate your parents while you have them, because they are not going to be there forever. I will always remember this, and never take my parents for granted again.
